<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas treating tower in which a liquid absorbent flowing through trays flows uniformly over the whole trays without causing biased stream and stagnation and the depth of the liquid absorbent is made uniform over the whole trays in a gas treating tower for bringing waste gas into gas- liquid contact with the liquid adsorbent by trays equipped with bubble caps. SOLUTION: The bottom plate of a bubble cap tray 5 is formed into steps and a dam plate 52 is fitted on each step. The uppermost step of the stepwise bubble cap tray 5 is made to be a side in which a feeding part 56 for a liquid absorbent 13 is installed, and a side in which a downcommer 10 of a discharge part 57 for returning the liquid absorbent 13 to a liquid residence tank 2 is installed is made to be the lowermost part thereof to cause the liquid absorbent 13 to flow on the stepwise bubble cap tray 5 while gradually falling from the feeding part 56 toward the downcommer 10 of the discharge part 57.</p> |
