The fastener for a ski boot upper consists of a tensioning lever (13) hinged to a support (19) fixed to one part of the upper and connected to the other part by a traction member (22). The lever has at least one slideway (26) in which the end of the traction member can slide between two end positions. The traction member is connected by a link (32) to a bar (28) with a pivot (27,29) at each end able to move in the slideway in the lever and a second fixed slideway (31). The fastener also has a lock for the second pivot at the end of its slideway, made in the form of a pivoted catch.
