<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the video edition device in which a scene change is detected from a coded video image, representative scenes are listed directly so as to allow the user to understand the outline and the edition such as reproduction change revision or the like is conducted on coded video data efficiently through an intuitional interface. SOLUTION: An event detection means 12 detects an event including a scene change from coded video data, an icon generating means 13 generates an icon corresponding to the event directly from the coded video data and a display input means 16 displays as a list through synthesis so as to allow the user to understand the outline of contents of video images efficiently. Furthermore, the display input means 16 provides an intuitional interface commanding icons and arrangement of the icons, and a control means 18 obtains the reproduction enable position according to the arrangement from an index information management means 15 to send sequentially the coded video data and then the edition operation such as reproduction sequence revision or the line in the unit of scenes is conducted efficiently on the coded video data.</p> |
