PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device that achieves AC output regardless of relatively small number of elements, achievers a high input power factor and a low harmonic distortion, and has a high conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: A series circuit of a capacitor C1 and a smoothing capacitor C0 is connected between the output terminals of a rectifier DB for performing the all-wave rectification of an AC power supply AC. A load circuit A is connected between both terminals of the capacitor C1 via a switching element SW1 , and a voltage generation means B is connected between both terminals of the smoothing capacitor C0 via the load circuit A. The voltage generation means B is charged at a lower voltage than the voltage between both terminals of the smoothing capacitor C0 and is discharged at a higher voltage. Therefore, by switching a potential V3 at the output terminal of the voltage generation means B an AC current is allowed to flow to the load circuit A. Also, by regulating the voltage between both terminals of the capacitor C1 by the switching element SW1 , an input current can be controlled to be proportional to the input voltage. |
