PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to eliminate the time lag of transfer time for transferring waveform data at the time of forming musical tones in real time by transferring a MIDI information stored on a hard disk to a memory and storing the information. SOLUTION: The transfer of waveform data from the hard disk 24 to the memory 14 is executed by handing over the use timbre list which is a list for the timbre indicated by all the program changes included in the MIDI information from a sequencer to a synthesizer at the time of starting playing. The waveform data stored at the hard disk 24 is transferred to the memory 14 and is stored therein by referencing the use timbre list taken over to the synthesizer. Then, the formation of the musical tones is executed by reading the waveform data out of this memory 14 and, therefore, the musical tones are formed without the time lag of the transfer time for transferring the data from the hard disk 24 to the memory 14 at the time of forming the musical tones in real time. |
