PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device excellent in handleability and realizing appropriate user control by shifting the device to a user code input standby state after finishing an image forming job in the case a release designation means designates release in the midst of executing the image forming job. SOLUTION: Whether or not a user code inputted from a control panel 15 agrees with a code stored in a non-volatile RAM 5 is judged. When they do not agree with each other, the user code is inputted again. When the codes agree with each other, the use of the device is permitted. In this device, a situation that a user code releasing key is depressed in the midst of copying is stored, and the device is automatically shifted to the user code input standby state after finishing the copying job. Thus, since the release of the user code is designated without waiting for finishing copying, fogetting to operate the user code releasing key is reduced. |
