<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly exchange information between vehicles on road and to calculate a passage charge, even when a functional charge is generated in an on-vehicle machine. SOLUTION: In a system for executing radio communication between road machines 30, 40, 50 arranged at respective gates of a toll road and an on-vehicle machine 10 loaded on a vehicle and automatically collecting a passage charge from an entrance gate to an exit gate, an IC card 20 is inserted, settlement information recorded in the card 20 is recorded in an information recording part 13 included in the machine 10, entrance information received from the road machine 30 arranged on the entrance gate is also recorded in the recording part 13, the entrance information and the settlement information recorded in the recording part 13 are transmitted to the road machine 50 arranged on the exit gate to execute the passage charge settling processing. The entrance information is recorded also in the card 20 as a backup, so that the settlement of the passage charge can be executed even when a functional fault has been generated in the machine 10.</p> |
