COAXIAL DIELECTRIC RESONATOR AND MOUNTING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high reliability by inserting a tip of a terminal pin to a recessed part or a throughhole provided to a printed circuit board and ensuring sufficiently an electrical and mechanical joint so as to avoid an excess stress thereby sufficiently standing a board warp test or the like. SOLUTION: A terminal pin 6 is press-fitted to a coaxial dielectric resonator 1 and the terminal pin 6 is formed in a way that its tip is extended. A throughhole 5 through which the terminal pin 6 is inserted in to a printed circuit board 2. Then the tip (lowermost part) of the terminal pin 6 is inserted to a recessed part or the throughhole 5 of the printed circuit board 2 of the height of the lowermost part of the terminal pin 6 is set higher than an adhesion face of the coaxial dielectric resonator 1 with respect to the printed circuit board 2 by 0 to 400μm. Thus, the open end of the coaxial dielectric resonator 1 is grounded and adhered electrically and mechanically in a close joined state so as not to float on the printed circuit board 2 and the terminal pin 6 is also joined electrically to the printed circuit board 2.
