The automobile seat (10) comprises a back (11) and a seat (12), and is mounted on a frame (13) connected to the vehicle floor (4). A pivot (20), connected to the frame and the floor, enables the seat to rotate between a first position in the vehicle forward direction and a second position orientated towards a door. The seat can also tip frontward simultaneously with its rotating towards the door. The seat tipping is provided by a horizontal articulation spindle (25) connecting the rotating part (21) to the frame and by a guide finger (27) fixed to the frame which engages a helix ramp (29). The rotating part is formed by a support (22) carrying a vertical shaft (23) freely rotating in a base (24) fixed to the vehicle floor. |
