The diffusor (8) has an annular channel (19) fed with the gas to be recycled and formed between two spacers (9,10) with an annular slit (20) between them. The spacers are situated between the outlet end of the butterfly valve housing (1) and the inlet of the manifold (5). The slit lies coaxially with the housing outlet and feeds the gases into the air flow leaving it. The annular channel (19) has at least one inlet (21) made at least partially with one of the spacers. The upper spacer (9) lies adjacent to the butterfly valve housing (1). It has an inner tubular wall with its inner face forming an extension to the inner wall of the housing and its outer face forming the inner wall of the channel. The other spacer (10) lies adjacent to the manifold inlet (6) and has a flat annular flange. The slit (20) is located between the end of the first spacer's wall and the edge of the flange.
