<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the detection sensitivity dispersion of photo-interruptors, without depending on the adjusting accuracy of the adjuster by series connecting a light emitting element combined with a photo-detecting element to form the photo-interruptor to a variable resistor and fixed resistor. SOLUTION: A transmission type photo-interruptor 1 has a photo detecting element 3 for receiving a light from a light emitting element 2. To adjust the forward current IF flowing in the element 2, a current adjusting variable resistor RV 4 is series connected to a forward current monitoring fixed resistor R 5 at the element 2. The interruptor 1 has four terminals Vcc 6, Vout 7, GND 8 and monitoring 14. The photo-detecting element has three terminals Vcc 6, Vout 7 and GND 8. This permits the detection sensitivity to be adjusted with monitoring the current flowing in the light emitting element.</p> |
