PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high speed for image output by avoiding color conversion as to parts not required through overwrite in the case of applying color conversion to input color image data obtained from overlapped images so as to obtain output raster data. SOLUTION: A decomposer main body 10 writes a picture element value Dc of a current color space to a page memory 21 for every execution of image drawing operator and writes a color space code Cc denoting the current color space to a color space memory 22. Then the picture element value and the color space code written finally at all times are stored in the page memory 21 and the color space memory 22. After image drawing by one page is finished, the decomposer main body 10 reads the picture element value Dc and the color space code Cc sequentially from the page memory 21 and the color space memory 22 and gives them to a color conversion means 30. The color conversion means 30 converts the picture element value Dc into a picture element value Dd of the device color space depending on the value of the color space code Cc and provides an output of the Dd to an image output device as a raster stream. |
