PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an oil ring by simple operations with no accidental damage applied to a housing and a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: A shank 12 of an oil seal 10 is integrally provided with two oil-seal removing projections 13. A gear puller 14 is engaged at the pawls of its braces 18 with removing jig engaging parts 13a of the oil-seal removing projections 13, and is brought into butt contact at the tip projection of its feed screw 15 with the center hole of a rotary shaft 7. A handle 19 is turned to project the feed screw 15. The oil seal 10 is then pulled out of the housing 8 and rotary shaft 7 while being drawn with the braces 8. |
