PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the current consumption and to extend a battery replacement period by improving the operation of a radio equipment. SOLUTION: An illuminance detection function is added in a field radio equipment 2 having a display device 1 and when the illuminance is less than preset illuminance, the lighting of the display device 1 is set to a lighting enable mode, and all tenkeys 3 act like lighting switches for their initial touch. When the illuminance detection function discriminates that the illuminance exceeds the preset illuminance, a built-in software is used to turn off the lighting. |
