PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a failure when a DCFM is broken down into a short- circuited state, by a method in which a resistor is connected between the DC power supply of the DCFM and the power supply terminal of the DCFM and a relay coil which operates a relay contact by which the resistor is short- circuited is provided between the power supply terminals of the DCFM. SOLUTION: A resistor 901 is connected between the output side of a power supply circuit 7 and the power supply terminal of a DCFM 8. A relay contact 903 is connected in parallel to the resistor 901 and a relay coil 902 is provided between the power supply terminals of the DCFM 8 side. If the DCFM 8 is broken down into a short-circuited state, a voltage is not applied to the relay coil 902, the relay contact 903 is closed, and a circuit current flows through the resistor 901. Therefore, by setting the value of the short-circuit current to be low enough not to have harmful influence upon the power supply circuit 7 with the adjustment of the resistor 901, it is not necessary to stop a power converter immediately and the operation can be continued. |
