PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a displayed image equal with a printed image by performing the correction of image data respectively concerning the thinned and outputted images of color and monochromatic picture elements. SOLUTION: When a host computer 101 receives the instructions of image output and output type, a CPU 103 judges whether the type of output shows the output to a color laser beam printer(LBP) 110 or the simulation of output of the color LBP inside the host computer 101. In the case of outputting to the color LBP 110, the data in an image information storage device 117 are sent to an IO interface 112. A CPU 113 changes the color corresponding to the input data into a color printable for a printing part 116. Thus, color images are printed by the printing part 116 and printing processing is finished. The CPU 103 converts the data in the storage device 117 while using the same color space compression table storage device 102 as the color LBP 110 and a RAM 104, stores the result in a VRAM 107 and displays it on a CRT display 108. |
