PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely await the arrival of an incoming call even when the mobile equipment moves to another zone by measuring a reception electric field level, comparing the level with a threshold, discriminating whether or not the mobile equipment exists in an area where the radio telephone service is enjoyed and displaying the result onto an operation panel. SOLUTION: A transmission reception section 5 of a mobile telephone terminal 4 receives a radio wave fD from a radio base station and a reception level detector 60 measures a reception electric field level. Then a service area discrimination section 90 compares the measured value with a threshold of the reception electric field level. As a result of the comparison, when the reception electric field level is more than the threshold, a CPU outputs a control signal requesting transmission of initial data to the radio base station to a transmission data processing section 93 and sends the data to the radio base station via a TDMA transmitter 80. On the other hand, when the reception electric field level is smaller than the threshold, the CPU discriminates it that the reception is disabled and allows a display section 74 to display 'out of zone' via a user interface processing section 92. Thus, the waiting of a speech and the arrival of a call is ensured. |
