PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a beginner to easily execute an ensemble performance of which chord tones are uniformed independently of the recorded chord tones of automatic performance data. SOLUTION: The transposition control device is provided with a transposition information setting means 1 for setting up the transposition information of the whole system, a transposition excluding part setting means 2 for setting up an untranspositioned part out of various parts at the time of executing ensemble performance and a transposition control means 3 for controlling the transposition of musical sound data of various parts excluding the transposition excluded part based on the set transposition information. Since a player generates a musical sound by transposing only parts other than a part set up as a transposition excluded part, automatic performance data recorded by code tones other than a reference C chord e.g. are generated by the C chord tone by transposing the automatic performance data at the time of its reproduction and the performance of simple C chord tone by a keyboard 11 is generated as it is by the C chord.
