PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bit detection error due to three-dimensional positional deviation between a probe and a recording medium by detecting recording bits with the probe and deciding the real recording bit by plural times for the same bit line on the recording medium. SOLUTION: An inputted current detection signal is binarized in a binarization circuit 302, after it has been converted into a voltage signal in an I/V conversion circuit 301. Then, the binarized signal is ANDed with a bit detection synchronizing signal 4c in an AND circuit 303. The ANDed signal is inputted to a waveform shaping circuit 305 to be waveform shaped. The waveform shaped signal is inputted to a division circuit 306, to be divided to three parts under first to third synchronizing signals 4e-4g. The first division signal is inputted to a bit decision circuit 301, after it has been shifted 307 by a timeΔt1. The second division signal is inputted to the circuit 301 after it is inverted, and it is shifted 308 only by time,Δt2. The third division signal is inputted to the circuit 301 as is. A bit decision circuit 310 decides and detects a real bit from three signals and outputs it as a reproducing signal. |
