PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize characters and shadows by inputting second images to be synthesized with first image information, setting a shadow area on first images based on second image information and converting the color information of the shadow area. SOLUTION: An original shadow area generation part 35 extracts a specified area in an area selected in the coordinate input device 60 of original images and generates the area of the shadow images. An image generator 20 generates synthetic images and a synthetic shadow area generation part 30 generates the area of the shadow images based on the output synthetic images of the image generator 20. The synthetic shadow area is binary signals for indicating the area, the shadow area is deinfed as '1', the other is defined as '0' and output is performed to an image processing part 40. The image processing part 40 synthesizes the images by the original images obtained from the image input device 10, the synthetic images obtained from a synthesis generator 20 and the shadow image area from the synthetic shadow area generation part 30 or the original shadow area generation part 35. By setting the shadow area in this way, converting the color information of the shadow area and performing shading, the characters and the shadows are synthesized. |
