PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the holding quantity of recovered toner without making a cleaning roller larger by providing a toner holding roller for restoring recovered toner to the cleaning roller when the toner recovered on the cleaning roller is received and held and restuck to the surface of a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the toner holding roller 19 receiving and holding the recovered toner on the cleaning roller 12. In the device, the roller 12 cleans the surface of the photoreceptor 1 by electrostatically temporarily recovering the toner left after transfer T1 on the photoreceptor 1 after transferring a toner image. The roller 19 holds the toner on its peripheral surface with the roller 12 and shifts the toner T3 on the roller 19 to the roller 12 so as to stick and restore the shifted toner and the toner T2 recovered on the roller 12 to a surface part where an influence is not exerted on the formation of an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 1. |
