PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for an image forming capable of forming the image of excellent quality by preventing charge up of the developer and scattering of the developer onto the non image part. SOLUTION: In this device, each of process units 100 is severally provided with a pre-transfer static eliminator 3 arranged between a transfer position where respective developer image on a photoreceptor drum 1 is transferred to a paper sheet P and a developing device 9. This pre-transfer static discharger 3 is severally arranged on the position so as to let a surface potential of the photoreceptor drum 1 in the transfer position decreased to the extent of not becoming below the half-tone potential, by discharging the potential on the non-image part. In other words, the respective pre-transfer static eliminator 3 is arranged on the position so as to making the developer stuck on the image part possible to be transferred on the paper sheet P without being charged up and without scattering. |
