The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of compounds of formula (I) wherein R<1>-R<4> signifies hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl or trifluoromethyl, R<5> and R<6> signify hydrogen, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy or lower alkoxy and R<7> signifies hydrogen or lower alkyl, by alkylating of a corresponding indole.
