PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a phosphoric acid fuel cell stably usable over a long period of time by preventing the corrosion loss of a separator intervening in a fuel-cell stack. SOLUTION: In fuel-cell stack formed by stacking cells 1 each formed when a fuel electrode 3 supported against a fuel electrode base 5 and an oxidizer electrode 4 supported against an oxidizer electrode base 6 are placed on both of the principal planes of a matrix 2 carrying phosphoric acid and a fuel- electrode side reservoir 7 holding phosphoric acid and an oxidizer-electrode side reservoir 8 are placed on the outer surface of the electrodes 3, 4, a separator 9A of a double structure consisting of a resin-treated carbon layer 9a formed by impregnation of a porous carbon material with a polytetrafluoroethylene and a high-density carbon material 9b is interposed between the cells 1 with the resin-treated carbon layer 9a facing the oxidizer-electrode side reservoir 8. |
