PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image generator in which panorama images with high image quality are simply obtained at all times. SOLUTION: A detection means 190 detects image pickup conditions used for picking up an image of an object by an image pickup means in a way that the object is picked up as a plurality of images where part of adjacent images is overlapped. A storage means 130 stores a series of images obtained by the image pickup means 110 and stores the image pickup conditions obtained by the detection means 190 in cross reference with each image. An image synthesis means 172 selects adaptively a plurality of synthesis means based on the image pickup condition corresponding to each image to generate a synthesized image.
