PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifier in which the symmetry of the output voltage waveform is ensured at the rise and fall times, an amplified output with a high gain is obtained, the power consumption is reduced and needs of a high processing speed is satisfied. SOLUTION: A control circuit 14 decides a current distribution factorαfor differential amplifier sections Q1, Q2,..., Q7, Q8 according to an equation, e.g.α=exp(-ΔVc /Vt), whereΔVc is a control voltage, Vt=KT/q, K is Boltzmann's constant, T is a junction temperature of transistors(TRs), and q is a unit charge of electrons. A current mirror circuit 11 supplies a current to TRs Q1, Q3 of the differential amplifier sections Q1, Q2,..., Q7, Q8, a voltage Vcc is applied to TRs Q2, Q4 of the differential amplifier section Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, and a voltage Vee is applied to TRs Q6, Q8 of the differential amplifier sections Q5, Q6, Q7, Q8. A current mirror circuit 12 connects to the TRs Q5, Q8, a buffer circuit 13 is connected between the two current mirror circuits 11, 12 to feed back a signal between the differential amplifier sections Q3, Q4 and the differential amplifier sections Q7, Q8 thereby adjusting an output.
