PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a handset light in weight by incorporating a planar antenna composed of a magnetic material in the handset and making the antenna constitute one of magnetic force attraction means in the case of mounting the handset to the prescribed position of a receiving base. SOLUTION: For a portable telephone 10, a receiver 11 is formed at one end, a transmitter 12 is formed at the other end and an operation part 13 is formed between them. A microstrip antenna 14 connected to an internal transmission/reception circuit 15 is formed in a planar shape by the magnetic material and is arranged so as to be closest to the back surface of the portable telephone 10. When the portable telephone 10 is placed on the mounting surface 21 of an adapter 20 so as to abut the upper end to an abutting wall 22, a magnet 23 and the microstrip antenna 14 are brought closer, magnetic attraction force acts and the portable telephone 10 is fixed. Thus, since attraction is performed by utilizing an inevitably provided component, the handset is miniaturized and made light in weight. Also, attraction and power supply can be both served by using an AC electromagnet instead of the magnet 23.
