The apparatus has a housing and a ventilation opening (19). At least part of the housing e.g. the frame (9) or the holder device (15) is a component of a switch program element used for electric installation. The switch program element may have at least one holder for flush mounted wall mounting and an aperture frame which, seen from outside, surrounds the vent opening and can be attached to the holder. The holder may be arranged in a flush mounted socket. The socket may form an air channel section. The holder may have a receptacle to which a cover plate (7) may be attached spaced from the frame so as to form a side ventilation slit. A ventilation grating may be attached to the holder. A filter may also be arranged on the holder.
