Insertable coupling for joining two fluid lines

The coupling connects two fluid lines (1,2), one of which has a retaining rib (8) and the other a radial flange (9). The wall of a sleeve (3) has openings (10) with edges (11,12) facing each other in the axial direction and inclined at the same angle, and a radial opening (13) in which an inclined groove (14) ends. Two diametrically opposite holders (27) each have a claw (28) with inclined face (29) to engage behind the retaining rib and bear on one of the inclined edges when the first line (1) is inserted in a locking device (4), which surrounds the sleeve and has an elastically flexible indicator tongue (34) which has an inclined leading face (36) on a projection (35) to move on to the retaining rib when the first line is inserted, when it is bent radially outwards and the second line (2) is positively connected to the sleeve.
