PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the video scrambler by the line rotation system suitable for the CATV system in which limitation of the specifications of head end components and various restriction on system configuration are less and load of the CATV operator is small. SOLUTION: A variable output selection control means 4 gives an output selection signal S to a signal selection means 3, the signal selection means 3 selects a signal fed from an input terminal S1 or an input terminal S2 based on the output selection signal S and an added sample/scramble video signal Vout is outputted from an output terminal S3. Furthermore, a control signal S' is applied to a variable output selection control means 4 via an input terminal 8 and the variable output selection control means 4 chances a characteristic (control of low level/high level) of the output selection signal S based on the control signal S'. |
