A packaging film for foodstuffs, esp. meat, sausage or fish products, which is suitable for consumption has its tear strength increased by a net. The film and the net are attached to each other in a soluble manner with an adhesive safe for human consumption. Also claimed is a process where the film and net are glued together prior to filling with foodstuffs.
