Electrical machine coil winding device

The coil winding device has a spindle stock (20) displaced relative to the machine frame (10) along a guide (18) and supporting a wire guide (22), which rotates about a stationary multi-part form (32). This has a width which is adjusted by relative displacement of the separate parts, with corresponding position correction of the spindle stock. The required axial alignment is accurately determined by measuring the spacing between defined points of the form and the spindle stock and the spacing between defined points of the spindle stock and the machine frame.
