The hydraulic control valve arrangement has a cylindrical valve element (10) set into a bore and has an orifice connected to the pump port (3). The valve element can move axially away from the seat (33). In line is a control spool (15) that is spring loaded (13) and has flow passages (26) that connect with flow ports (28) in a sleeve. A port (4) in the valve block connects with the tank. The valve responds to maintain a constant supply to a load and unloads surplus fluid to tank.
