The system involves glass panes with their edges support on locating surfaces of the intermediate profiles. The first intermediate profile (1) in the centre between the locating surfaces for the glass panes has a closed chamber (3) penetrable from the outside by distance pieces. On both the extended side walls (4,5) of the chamber of the first intermediate profile are upwardly directed ribs (6,7), which have sealing lips (8) forming chambers with the glass panes. At the upper end of the ribs two sealing lips (18) pointing towards the centre are arranged. The second intermediate profile in the centre between the locating surfaces for the glass panes has a longitudinally running, closed chamber penetrable from the outside for distance pieces. On the side walls of the chamber and on a rib supporting on a side wall a sealing lip is formed which in turn forms chambers with the glass panes.
