Divided flywheel

The divided flywheel with two coaxial, relatively rotatable flywheels which can turn relative to each other against the action of swivel centrifugal weights (17) which act between them. The centrifugal weights are a component part of a torsion vibration damper and are mounted to swivel on one of the flywheels and to have a connection (34) with the other of the flywheels. By device of this connection, when there is relative rotation between the flywheels, the centrifugal weights are automatically swivelled about their bearings (18).A torque restricting device (33) is provided in active connection between the two flywheels and is arranged in series with the centrifugal weights (17) which form a torsion vibration damper (16).
