Laboratory media supply system e.g. for water, gas and electricity

Laboratory media distribution system consists of a hollow profiled batten which is fixed horizontally to the ceiling or wall. The hollow cavity accommodates the media supply e.g. gas pipes or cables running through the cavity. A supply of the medium is introduced to the e.g. gas pipes from a connector to e.g. the main supply via the building structure. The pipes through the conduit link to discharge outlets at various points along the profile as required. The profile cross-section is akin to that of the leading edge of an aircraft wing, but tapering towards the wall or ceiling. The profile is approx. 600 mm from the outermost point from the wall, and about 200 mm deep at its maximum. The profile has integrated work place lighting. The profile incorporates removable T-shaped panels at intervals, providing access to medium take-off points with connectors.
