Television program information reception

The method involves receiving teletext pages, which contain data records indicating transmitting time information about respectively a telecast as well as further information, e.g. transmitting station and content subject of broadcast. The data records are joined to data record chains by means of pointers (113, 115, 153, 182, 183). A chain is formed for each different transmitting period and each different data of further information, separately. Further pointers (411, 412, 21, 22, 311, 321), which are summed up in corresponding lists for transmitting periods (410) and further information (2, 310, 320), are used to refer to the chains. One of the chains first associated to the transmitting period, is searched, for the selection of data records, until a selected date is reached. The search then switches to the chain formed for this date.
