The procedure, using no outside heat source, consists of applying a vibration to one of the components (1) which has a wall or strip (5) which is held under pressure against the other component (3). The wall (5) is situated as close as possible to the outer edge of the component carrying it, and at a distance from the edge of the other component which is approximately equal to half the vibration amplitude. The wall can be made from the turned-over edge of one component and shaped to engage with a groove in the other one, and can also incorporate a stop to limit its penetration into the groove.
