The hydraulic control unit has a piston valve chamber (11) for the reception of the piston valve (10). The piston valve chamber has an inlet line (23) for the supply of a hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic pump (2). Also an output line (22), for the discharge of hydraulic pressure, supplied from the inlet line across the piston valve. An input line (18) is provided for the renewed supply of the hydraulic pressure from the supply line (22) to the piston valve. The forward coupling (4) and the rearward coupling (3) can be controlled using the hydraulic pressure supplied to the input line.
