Method of firing bricks or tiles in oven with roller esp. in rapid oven

The method involves placing the bricks on a roller conveyor (6) in a loading station with space on all sides and in a predefined pattern. The bricks are removed from the conveyor in an unloading station after passing through the oven. The adjacent bricks (Z1,...Zx) form rows (R1,...Rx) inclined w.r.t. the conveying direction at an angle different from 90 deg. The predefined pattern has inclined rows. The bricks in each row can be mutually offset in the conveying direction by part of the length of one side to form a stepped line.
