The choke has a pref. ferromagnetic core (1) of homogeneous structure or of segments of equal or different permeability and a coil (2) wholly or partly enclosing the core with constant or varying pitch and with or without intrinsic resonance damping. At least one further coil (3) is wound on the core and the starts of both windings are combined to form a common connection (4). The ends of the two coils are also connected directly to form a common connection (5).
