A fastener (10) having two like plates (12) effects joining through the interdigitation of bulbous heads (18) formed to each plate (12). The plates (12) have a plurality of intersecting, perpendicular walls (30, 40). The intersection points of these walls (30, 40) define where heads (18) may be formed thereto. Heads (18) are attached to the plates (30, 40) atop stems formed integrally with the walls (30, 40). The bulbous nature of the heads (18) and the strength supplied by the formation of the walls (30, 40) allows for a strong yet releasable fastening of the plates (12).
