Burner for gas-air mixture

The burner system (6) is arranged in sealed combustion chamber (1) connected to a flue-gas line. The chamber contains a heat exchanger (13) and is sealably traversed by a gas mixture pipe (2) whose outlet (8) is covered by a gas-permeable but water-impervious diaphragm (9). The diaphragm is surmounted by water bed (11) extending right across the chamber and itself surmounted on its surface by an igniter, using a regulator to maintain constant water level. The level-controlled water container (17) is linked to the chamber area above bed and diaphragm to form communicating vessels. The heat exchanger plates are adjoined at their undersides by half-round condensate gutters (14) led out via a condensate channel (16) arranged within the externally cooled (20) combustion chamber. The bed is directly underlain by a perforated distribution plate (10) bubbling the water through the bed.
