The emergency detection device for people can be used in water or on land. The device has a gas container (2) with pressurised gas in it, an inflatable device that can have a long pipeline (8) with a balloon (4). There is a release mechanism (5) for the pressure container and an automatic release valve (3) if the gas in the balloon is too high. The release mechanism for the pressure container may be manually or automatically opened. The manual release of the mechanism may be helped using a cord (7) with a handle (6) on the bottom. The release of the mechanism may be affected by water.
