The personal hygiene device is for use by a woman. It has a connection piece (2) which may be fastened to a hose carrying water. The water passes into a T-junction (1) whose side-arm (9) accommodates a container (8) with an extending bottom part (12). The bottom part of the container fits into a perforated socket (15) projecting into the water stream, so that liquid soap or medicinal fluid may trickle from the container into the stream of water. The water flows straight on into a straight pipe (3) with a hemispherical blind end (4) and a corrugated (6,7) straight portion with a number of small pores (5) to allow jets of water to flow out.
