<p>A system is for mounting a flexographic printing plate having a registration mark. It has a printing plate support surface having a transparent portion formed in it, and a plate cylinder. A device is operably connected to the plate cylinder for positioning the plate cylinder toward the printing plate support surface in a manner to establish a uniform contact line along one side of the printing plate when disposed on the printing plate support surface. A camera is operably disposed adjacent another side of the transparent portion for taking a picture of the registration mark of the printing plate when the registration mark is positioned over one side of the transparent portion. A monitor is operably connected to the camera and has a device for viewing the registration mark and position of it with respect to the camera. A sticky back material disposed about the plate cylinder. A grid is formed on the printing plate support surface.</p> |
