摘要 PURPOSE:To improve light guiding performance, mechanical characteristics and heat resistance by using a resin compsn. which is specified in the respective contents of the methyl methacrylate resin, hexafluoroacetone structural unit and vynilidene fluoride structural unit incorporated into the resin compsn. and the melt index of which is 1-60g as a sheath. CONSTITUTION:A resin essentially consisting of polycarbonate is used for the fiber material and the resin compsn. mixed with the vynilidene fluoride/ hexafluoroacetone copolymer and the methyl methacrylate resin at the mixing ratios within 1-15wt.% content of the hexafluoroacetone and 10-60wt.% of the vynilidene fluoride is used for the sheath material. The melt index of the sheath material is specified in the 1-60g/10min range. The plastic optical fiber having the good adhesiveness of the fiber material and the sheath material and the excellent heat resistance, flexibility, mechanical characteristics and light guiding performance is thereby obtd.
