<p>PURPOSE:To provide the resistance film contact type touch panel controller with which a position can be exactly specified at all time even when the resistance value of the resistance film is fluctuated by any change with the passage of time or temperature characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A touch panel controller 2 is provided with a means for detecting the potentials of respective electrodes corresponding to respective coordinate axes when a touch panel 1 overlapping two resistance films with insulators is not depressed while arranging the electrodes in the directions of coordinates axes mutually orthogonal to the respective resistant films of the touch panel 1 and for detecting a potential corresponding to the coordinate position of a depressed point on the coordinate axes, to which a voltage is impressed, according to the electrodes on the orthogonal coordinate axes when the touch panel is depressed. The potential detected in the non-depressed state is defined as a valid area at the time of detection, and that area is equally divided by maximum solution. The potential at the time of depressing is successively compared with the potential in the equally divided area and the positions on the touch panel is calculated for each coordinate axis.</p> |
