PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely install a fastening means to the ends of a base without forming the ends an edge to an air bag body. SOLUTION: A base is made up of an extruded material, and a front end (end) 17 of this base is formed into a hollow form with an airspace of width D being larger than length (d) of an admission part of a fastening means (rivet) R1. This front end 17 is not edged for an air bag body unfolded, and thereby the protection of the air bag body is surely promotable. Since the admission part of the fastening means R1 is fully stored in the hollow part, the installation of a tongue piece 30 by means of the fastening means R1 becomes ensured, while a tip of this fastening means R1 is not projected to the air bag body side, so that it will in no case be a hindrance to the unfolding of the air bag body. |
