PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material which is easily decomposed when discarded and a method of its decomposition. SOLUTION: This molding material contains, as a binder, a thermosetting resin composition comprising an unsaturated polyester, an addition polymerising monomer, and a low shrinking agent, and the addition polymerising monomer contains at least 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate or 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. It is easily decomposed by a decomposing solution containing at least a base and a solvolytic solvent.
